I am such a nerd.
But I am not ashamed, nope, not one bit.
I was just thinking what I nerd I was today and thought I'd share. I mean, how could you not love this kind of thing:
Quotes from my dear Albus Dumbledore:
As much money and life as you could want! The two things most human beings would choose above all - the trouble is, humans do have a knack of choosing precisely those things that are worst for them.
It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.
Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.
If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals.
You place too much importance... on the so-called purity of blood! You fail to recognize that it matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be!
It is a curious thing, Harry, but perhaps those who are best suited to power are those who have never sought it. Those who, like you, have leadership thrust upon them, and take up the mantle because they must, and find to their own surprise that they wear it well.
It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends.
This is my favorite Lord of the Rings Quote:
I know. It’s all wrong. By rights we shouldn’t even be here. But we are. It’s like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn’t want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn’t. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something.
— {Lord of the Rings: the Two Towers}
The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe: I love all the symbolism of Aslan to Christ:
And now a very curious thing happened. None of the children knew who Aslan was any more than you do; but the moment the Beaver had spoken [his name] everyone felt quite different.... At the name of Aslan each one of the children felt something jump in its inside. Edmund felt a sensation of mysterious horror. Peter felt suddenly brave and adventurous. Susan felt as if some delicious smell or some delightful strain of music had just floated by her. And Lucy got the feeling you have when you wake up in the morning and realize that it is the beginning of the holidays or the beginning of summer.
ANYWAYS...... maybe you're laughing at me right now. I don't care, I love me some fantasy/science fiction.
Also, I would just like to give a shout out to my mother for helping me develop a
love of reading at a young age.
And my dad for making us watch Star Wars when we were youngins. Even though mom hates it.

Hold on just a minute, I don't hate Star Wars!! I am not a huge fan of Lord of the Rings, except the last movie. And I love you! So glad you are a nerd.
