Doesn't get much better than this...

Even though this past weekend is dead and gone, and a new one is upon us, I need to blog about how great it was! I was lucky enough to be at meetings that Sheri Dew, Brad Wilcox, Hilary Weeks, and Elder Scott spoke at. I loved it!
On Friday night and Saturday morning I got to go to Time Out For Women in Logan. My mom and I went, along with my Aunt Marian and cousin Emily.

I had never heard Sheri Dew speak in person- wow, that woman is amazing! The minute she starts speaking, you feel the Spirit without even trying.

I could sit here and type all my notes from the weekend, but you might not enjoy it as much as I did, so I'll go to Sunday. I had a friend who has an uncle that helps with the CES firesides, so he was able to get us seats on the floor, first row at the Marriott Center at BYU. Elder Scott is a little guy! I hadn't realized how short he is. He walked right past us on the way in and out of the center and he even winked at me on his way out. I felt special :) His talk was so great, even though it was on dating and marriage (the dreaded subject in the single adult world.) I would add a link to it, but it hasn't been posted yet. He talked a lot about how guys should treat girls and vice versa. He even said he thought it was "stupid" for young single adults to watch a movie on a date. haha One of my favorite things that he said was that the single most important skill we can acquire is be able to receive personal revelation in every aspect of our lives, throughout our entire day. I also loved when he talked about his wife (who passed away in 1995)  how emotional he got. It was so sweet :)

And now to catch up a little..
For my last act of summer, I went to Salt Lake with a couple friends for the last show of the Twilight Concert Series at Pioneer Park. We saw She & Him - it was Zooey Deschanel- love her! You might recognize her as the girl from the movie Elf.  Or as the main actress in the movie 500 Days of Summer It was a really fun show to go to- People watching in its prime!
There was much more to this night, including Breakfast at Denny's after the show, don't worry we were there for about 5 hours. Getting pulled over on the way home, and almost death by cow. But....we won't get into that now.

Isael, Courtney and I:
Court! She's basically the best
At the end of the first week back at USU was the annual 80's dance. In my opinon its the most fun dance of the year. It was out on the quad and there were TONS of people there. It was a blast! And we scraped up some pretty sweet outfits if I do say so myself:

A couple weekends ago I was able to go to Swiss Days in Midway! I had heard about Swiss Days but had never actually gone. Loved it! If you're a Loganite, compare it to The Summerfest, but 5 times bigger. I loved looking at all of the little shops and the creative things that people had made. There were a LOT of people there and the food was delicious.
We met Emily and Paul and their family there and I got to hang out and watch the parade with them, I love hanging out with this family!:

Something pretty awesome: On November 7, Utah State will be taking down a choir for the next CES Broadcast with Elder Ballard. Last year we brought 888 people, and this year we plan to bring 1000. I went to the practice this past week, and its going to be amazing! I have missed singing in a choir, I haven't since High School. And its going to be pretty interesting to have all of us Aggies in the Marriott Center with all those Cougars..haha
And last but not least, Breaking News: I got called to be a
I'm SCARED out of my MIND!
